Blondes + RVNG

Blondes were properly introduced to RVNG by Josiah Wolfson (he of Islands Eyelids and Regal Degal) while compiling candidates for a proposed cassette label spin off nearly two years ago. Josiah's description of the Blondes' experience as "Kompakt meets Silent Barn" resonated on a micro-universal level. Even more so after delving into Sam and Zach' early enterprises, via the five tracks that would become their Touched EP on Merok Records.

It also commenced the first of innumerable nights and early mornings seeking out Blondes performances at disparate locales throughout Brooklyn. No stranger to skittish early AM escapades having spent the past 10 years in DJ booths and bass bins around the world, a Blondes show paralleled an ecstatic club environment without leaving the confines of a dark basement or loft. Those early performances absolutely absorbed. And they still do as Blondes push their live show further and further.

With the advent of a new decade, it's exciting to announce that RVNG will oversee the release of three Blondes 12"s this year. Lover / Hater, the first 12" in a series that will deal in duality themes, is available on March 15th. Before that date, Sam and Zach embark on February dates throughout Europe while making Berlin home base and then an expansive US tour supporting Simian Mobile Disco and The Juan Maclean. All of those below.
