Julia Holter - Ekstasis

We're ecstatic to announce Julia Holter's new album Ekstasis is set for release on March 8th, 2012. We were smitten by Julia when Ramona Gonzalez sent us an early version of "Goddess Eyes" the summer of 2009. That song would eventually appear on Julia's beautiful Tragedy album for LEAVING RECORDS (and appears as a different mix on Ekstasis, alongside companion piece "Goddess Eyes II"). Over the course of the next couple years, Julia worked / reworked nascent song structures and recordings, pulled new material for the ether, borrowed the ears and exceptional mixing skills of Cole M. Greif-Neill, and eventually gifted us Ekstasis. Listen to"Marienbad", the first song from Ekstasis, below and stay tuned for more.
