Imagine this....you’re lying on an inflatable alligator raft floating in cool, clear blue waters, sipping a Margarita, basking in the warm rays of the summer sun, the sky is clear as far as the eye can see and you hear the sweet sounds of “Kids” by MGMT (you know that song you’ve heard at every Making Time for the past year...oopsies.) traveling through the hot summer air. Here comes the splash of a wave up against your feet as they dangle from the raft , you look up and....no....it’s not a cool ocean wave, but the waves from Sean Agnew landing in a cannonball. Wait....you’re not at the Jersey Shore....you’re in Medford, New Jersey at the Flying W Pool and Resort (AKA...the Airplane Pool) at MAKING TIME!!! YES!!! That’s right...we’re doing MAKING TIME in......NEW JERSEY. You all know New Jersey, right???? It’s actually our neighbor and it’s the home of so many great things such as Camden, one of the murder capitals of our country, discount liquor, Atlantic City, traffic, Mack and Mankos Pizza, jughandles, fat cats, Newark, Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi and so much more. Well on Saturday June 27th it will be the home of the next MAKING TIME and we are going to make New Jersey...did I mention it’s in NEW JERSEY....the raddest it’s ever been since Jersey tomatoes. Woah....that’s pretty fucking rad.
YES....on Saturday June 27th, 2009 New Jersey becomes the surrogate home of MAKING TIME. Don’t miss your chance to become a part of New Jersey history and be one of the first people to say you experienced MAKING TIME in....New Jersey, and...during the day, and....at a pool. Just think...you finally get to see each other in the daylight....and maybe Russ naked (if you haven’t already), Mike Z in a Speedo (Hello Ladies....and Gentlemen!!!), Thom with his shirt off (wow, right!?!?!) and Julian with his feet exposed (Yes Please!!!). Totally rad, yea?
So yeah...get rad, get stoked and party til you can’t drive back to Philly anymore because this could be one of the raddest Making Time parties ever. Since you probably won’t be able to drive home we are providing roundtrip shuttle buses every half hour from the free parking lot at the Piazza at Schmidt’s on 2nd and Germantown starting at 1:30pm and to ensure that you can’t drive home there will be lots of bars and lots of totally rad sounds provided by your resident MAKING TIME Cabana Boys (And if you feel like trying to sober up for the drive home there will be burgers, dogs and veggie friendly grilling options available all day).
So...Philadelphia...let’s freakout like we’ve never freaked out before in New Jersey in our entire lives on Saturday June 27th, 2009 at MAKING TIME at the Flying W Pool and Resort (aka...the Airplane Pool) in Medford, NJ!!!
This will surely be the most major rager of the summer!!!
